I’m Michael “Themimitoof”, software engineer based in Paris, France 🇫🇷.
I’m working as an API/Backend developer for a French registrar (but I’m far away from the code of our “registrar” job). On my free time, I do film and digital photography, make things in Go or in Python and I also play with system and network infrastructures by managing an AS for fun, experiments and for more serious projects.

I created this blog to share my creations, projects and other things to a wider audience than my other blog written in French that also discusses tech things and other topics.

This website is currently hosted on Netlify. I (still) plan to self-host it in a near future.
Analytics#
The analytics software Umami is used on this website and self-hosted on a virtual machine located in France. I chose it in favor of other open-source solutions like Matomo because it’s easy to use, to maintain and most importantly, it’s a privacy-focused, cookie-less and not intrusive analytics tools. With Umami, no cookies, no stored IPs and no visitor profiles. I only get few metrics like page visited, referer, and a map of where the traffic comes from.
